• Founding of the Republic of China
  A holiday commemorating the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of China (January 1, 1912).
• Lunar New Year (Spring Festival)
  The start of the year according to the lunar calendar.
• Peace Memorial Day
  A memorial day dedicated to the "228 Incident," a tragic crackdown that began with popular uprisings on February 28, 1947, resulting in numerous casualties. It is a day to remember the tragedy and pray for peace.
• Children's Day
  Although named Children's Day, it is a statutory public holiday, so adults across the country also have the day off.
• Tomb Sweeping Day (Qingming Festival)
  Celebrates "Qingming," one of the 24 solar terms. It is a traditional day for families to visit and care for ancestral graves.
• Dragon Boat Festival
  Observed on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month. The dragon boat races held across various regions are highly celebrated.
• Confucius's Birthday
  Celebrates the birth of Confucius. It is also designated as "Teachers' Day."
• Mid-Autumn Festival
  Observed on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month.
• National Day (Double Tenth Day)
  A national holiday commemorating the Xinhai Revolution, which began with an armed uprising on October 10, 1911.
• Taiwan Retrocession Day & Kinmen Guningtou Victory Day
  Celebrates the conclusion of Japanese rule and the military victory over Communist forces.
• Constitution Day
  Commemorates the implementation of the Constitution of the Republic of China on December 25, 1947.
