Australia Day Commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet from Great Britain at Sydney Cove on 26 January 1788.
Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday Commemorates the crucifixion and the miracle of Jesus Christ's resurrection three days later. Good Friday is a day of mourning for the death of Jesus. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection. The day after Easter (Easter Monday) is also observed as a public holiday in many countries.
Anzac Day A national day of remembrance to honour the casualties of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in World War I and subsequent conflicts.
King’s Birthday Celebrates the birthday of the British Monarch. While King Charles III's actual birthday is on 14 November, the date of the public holiday is determined independently by each state and territory (all falling on a Monday).
